Eating healthy & only when you really need it!
Nutrition is a vital part of recovery and replenishment after any punishing exercise being circuits at the gym or after a ten (10) mile run. In my own experience training for the Boston Marathon, giving up certain food groups all together and making modifications to other with a stringent portion control. You make even ask, since when do guys really care about their caloric intake !? Well the answer is simple, for Boston my diet has tremendously changed in favor for leaner meats (poultry) for red meat, alcoholic beverages are off the table, vegetables and fruits satisfy those cravings, and tea for coffee. (no sugar please!) Opting should be the first thought in mind, when presented with options i.e. (if you plan to have some chocolate opt for Organic or Cocoa nibs, you’ll satisfy the craving with just a few of these) My personal choice is Kopali Organics give it a try !
